Welcome to the World.

Our new nephew was born over the weekend! Welcome to the world Miles Parker--we're glad you're here. We're sending some of our favorites over to him in a welcome to world gift. His parents have decided against cloth, so we are sending Seventh Generation diapers, better for the baby, better for the planet diapers that actually work. Also included is our favorite baby wash and lotion from Avalon Organic, this has been the product line we've used with Peanut with great success. S. and I have been working on a hanging baby product organizer to keep track of all these baby items as well. Of course, no new family should be without a subscription to Mothering Magazine, which I have been getting for the last 12 years. It's totally helped shape me into the mother I am today, giving facts and studies to support the style of parenting that has felt the most true to me. We're wishing T. and C. and baby Miles the very best, they are incredibly talented, caring, people and we know that they will be great parents. Don't you just love it when people who are going to be great parents have kids? It just makes you feel so much better about the world. Despite the grey day (will spring ever arrive?) I am a happy Midwestern mama today.
